A very common phishing attack right now is a wire transfer fraud. The basics of how it works. Someone sends a spoofed email as the CEO or another C-level executive saying he needs a wire transfer taken care of while he is out of town. The FBI has warned of this type of attack, and cyber thieves stole $215 million dollars in just over a year’s time.
